Understanding Globalization: Preparing for the 21st Century

A Self-Paced Course (Version 0.93)

Understanding Globalization is a Mini-Course, designed for people in business or government, teachers, and students. It uses small, easily comprehended modules that are designed to fit into your workday schedule. The course is delivered through Moodle, a learning management system used all over the world. The course is fully modular and can be modified by other instructors for use in college courses or corporate environments (for example, by adding or deleting modules or including specific corporate-related links in each module). Great for Work Force Certification! Space for instructors to build other versions of the course, each with password protected access, can be supplied by MindTools.net.

NOTE: This site is under construction. Please send notice of any problems to webmaster@mindtools.net.

Modules involve exercises, questions, projects, data gathering, chart making, research, readings, and links to other sites. Modules take only 5-15 minutes to complete. Most modules have 2-3 exercises (over 110 exercises in all). Try 1 or 2 modules per day and in a few weeks you will know more about Globalization than the vast majority of people -- and even more than most people in the business world or in the educational system!

Course Facilitator: Anthony Birch, Ph.D., MCSE
