	WTO defends itself on from critics at

        It is clearly under attack by critics who view it as a dictatorial
        organization that only benefits rich countries.  These attacks and their
        defense are important parts of the globalization debate.

  IMF: Primary purposes are to promote exchange rate stability and foster economic growth
       Provides: surveillance, financial assistance, technical assistance

     	Sought to build a framework for economic cooperation that
     	would avoid a repetition of the disastrous economic policies that 
     	had contributed to the Great Depression of the 1930s

     	$107 Billion dollars currently on loan to 56 countries

  World Bank: Mission is to fight poverty in the developing world

	Provides loans, policy advice, technical assistance and knowledge
	sharing services to low and middle income countries

	Established 1944

	185 countries

	The World Bank also defends itself against critics who 
	believe that the World Bank is part of the Western Conspiracy
	to dominate and control less developed countries.
